Participants will receive guidance in the design and detailing of high performance brick veneer/steel stud wall assemblies. Building code requirements and industry recommendations for each subassembly will be analyzed and discussed including the brick veneer, the steel stud backing, the ties that connect them and the drainage space between them. At the end of the program participants will be able to design and specify the appropriate components to optimize the water penetration resistance, structural resilience, and thermal performance of brick veneer with metal stud backing.
